I think I've always been fond of waking up early too. There's just a different sort of energy that is only abundant during early day.

People who put things off have some pretty obvious issues, especially, I'm seeing, at work, some people will actually make others who come in for paperwork to wait longer than they should just so the previous can put it off and work at a pace that is not leisurely, just unambitious and undeserving of recognition (which is guaranteed, so where is the motivation? What about personal accomplishment and a clear conscience?). AND they'll usually have a attitude, defensive mood about it, as if they are not being paid to do this to begin with.

As for Kuwaitis being leisurely in their personal lives, it really can't be helped, because that's usually not out of any spite, just some of them needing that slower pace. :P

I clicked on that link, and oh my GOD, I sort of want to go see first-hand, and probably die on the spot because everything is practically inconceivably large. Let us make Mass Effect a reality!

...Because the hailag sleep in!

I love waking up in the morning even if I'm just going to play videogames all day.

While your gushing adoration of the sun has definitely increased my personal affection for the sun, I love mornings because of the natural mood boost I get with this routine; wake up at 6am, stop doing everything at 9pm and then read in bed until I fall asleep. The day feels long and rewarding, and with properly timed espressos the afternoon energy slump is completely avoided.

Unfortunately life makes it hard to maintain a normal schedule. I don't understand the insistence of people in this country to do things so late all the time. My dad had a dinner for the family last Thursday and it lasted until 1AM. This is an event where most of the guests are over 50 years old. As a result of this, I woke up at 9:30 PM today, because being up past my bed time makes me unable to sleep for another twelve or so hours.

I was thinking the other day how scary the sun is; it's basically just a ridiculously massive ball of plasma that's powered by nuclear fusion. Eventually it's going to get bloated and EAT US! If you're in that "OH MY GOD SPACE IS HUGE AND COOL AND SCARY" mood this is worth a look. http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap120312.html

As a species, I think we should definitely refocus our energy. Less whatever it is we're doing now, and more towards getting out into space and spreading all over the universe. Less majlis, more space!

Also, why is this tagged as hailag?

I totally understand what you're saying, I simply have a different point of view on the need for maturity. It's sort of like happily embracing mediocrity.

Skyrim, mostly. I decided to give roleplaying a shot so I dived in and wrote a character background story. http://pastebin.com/VTYTeM4g It's the most fun I've had in years. Once you get over how silly it is to not loot things from every living thing, or to walk around town instead of sprint, or to eat and sleep regularly, the immersion is incredible. I find myself actually stopping to look at things and think about them as I would in real life, rather than just see the game world as a pretty frame for the game mechanics.

Not to mention the crazy amount of mods available, which always keep things fresh.

Although, of course, there's a lot of stuff. I basically just randomly click and then spend a few hours in whatever I clicked on. http://imgur.com/OSLo3

Wow, there's so much nerdness in one comment.

I really miss having the time to game. Though, if I'm going to have to be mature, it's also forcing me to make time for productivity via hobbies that I prematurely discarded despite being interested in them. It's sort of fair, I guess.

Here's the article for the Elder Scrolls MMO reveal. http://imgur.com/a/fO9Ty#0

It's funny; I've transitioned to doing nothing besides play games the whole day.

Thank you, Faustin.

I don't doubt Kuwait's ability to surpass such a trivial matter, given the gigantic landscape that is Kuwait's print, I just wish this didn't happen at all. Once again, I find myself saying that I don't know how these people seem to be thinking at all, and am glad for it.

Very beautifully written; in a way I'm glad I was only two years old and can't remember any of it, beyond stories from my parents.

History shows that every nation inevitably falls due to greed or violence. It's realistic to feel that we're headed on the same course many have taken before us, but it feels like we're different; that we can avoid it somehow. I think, as a culture, we have a tendency to dramatize and despair. Things aren't so bad. It'll get better.
